About Meghan
Spirit & Sounds Yoga brings personalized one-on-one yoga to busy people looking for an outlet to reduce and manage their stress, move their body in healthy ways, and calm their mind. Private yoga is for everyone, including people who are total beginners and are looking to set a foundation before heading to a group yoga class, or people with a specific injury/illness looking for extra support.
Also a classically trained musician, I work with people who are interested in meditating with sound (think singing bowls, flutes, and chimes). Sound helps to slow our brain waves so our mind can drop into a deeper state of relaxation more quickly. Guided sound meditations (also called "sound baths") are offered both as a one-on-one offering or a group offering.
I absolutely love bringing yoga and sound meditation to people because it opens up so many possibilities of healing. Maintaining a movement and sound-based practice is so beneficial to your health in every way. My own life has been transformed by yoga & sound, so it is my absolute joy and passion to share it with others.
I am a certified yoga teacher specializing in Vinyasa yoga. I obtained my 200-hour certification in New York City in 2018 and am Yoga Alliance certified. I also hold certifications in children's yoga and teach kids regularly.
I am also a classically trained musician with a B.Mus. and B.Ed. The flute is my main instrument although I play many instruments. I have been trained in using sound as a meditation modality and offer informed sound bath journeys based on my knowledge and experience.

We first speak on the phone for an introductory phone call where we can see if we're a good fit, then we move on to an introductory yoga session. From there we can decide if we'd like to work together 1, 2, or 3 times per week and book a class package.
