About Alyssa
Hello! I have 24 years of experience as an embodiment coach, group facilitator, yoga teacher, dancer, and musician. I am passionate about working with individuals as well as groups, and I love sharing all the tools I've gathered with you to help you feel healthy and inspired.
I founded Body of Sound in 2006 with a mission to uplift and inspire through music, movement and community and to tune up your body as your most essential instrument. I have presented at numerous venues including opening the TED Conference in Long Beach, California to leading several 5 day retreats at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, to leading an off-site for Genentech and Roche in Lucerne, Switzerland. I've led thousands of people in synchronized rhythm and movement at festivals including Bottlerock, Burning Man, Lightning In A Bottle, High Sierra Music Festival, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Texas Eclipse Festival, Dreaming In The Desert, Mountain Magic Camp, Troubadour, Gaia Festival, SoulPlay, Bahootenzie, and the Festival of Love.
I harness group energy for collective joy... transforming an ordinary room into an inspiring space where learning, practice and play intertwine.
