About Emily
I teach a unique style of yoga called Bowspring that was designed for the issues of our Western society. It encourages the practitioner to be light and springy while being strong and mobile. Bowspring is perfect for anyone who sits or stands all day, has health challenges, or has issues with extreme flexibility.
In addition to Bowspring, I have taught chair-based and therapeutic classes.
Bowspring yoga is my passion. It is exciting to see students learn mastery over their bodies while exploring all the wonderful things the body can do! There is an endless amount that can be learned and experienced by everyone.
I am a 200-hour RYT and have taken multiple trainings and courses since that certification including becoming certified in Bowspring yoga. I was one of the first teachers in the world to teach a Bowspring teacher training. I am still continuing my education.
My 6+ years as a yoga instructor has given me experience working with all ages and varieties of people in everything from athletes to professionals to those who are struggling with health issues. Some of my experience includes collaboration with: an orthopedic surgeon, chiropractor, osteopath, and numerous hospital classes.

The first step in creating a new student-teacher relationship is to sit down and have a conversation where the potential client can share their story. Listening helps me to determine if we are a good match as well as begin to formulate a way to proceed in meeting their goals. This meeting also gives the individual a chance to ask questions while being heard.
