About Kari

I love working with students at all levels of the journey. If you're brand new to yoga and meditation, we'll start from exactly where you are. If you have some knowledge and experience of yoga, then we'll pick up where you are. My goal is to be a CATALYST.

I am an experienced RYT-500, a Tier 3 Certified Baptiste Power Yoga instructor, and I have a bachelors degree in Religious Studies, Women's Studies, and Mulitcultural Queer Studies. I have over 1,000 hours of classroom instruction teaching experience. It would be my pleasure to work with you.

I understand how challenging it can be to start something new. I have been on a health, weightloss, and transformational path for many years and understand the courage and gumption it takes to get started. We'll find a way that works for you and create goalposts that you can stick to.

I showed up to yoga as a resistant student. Slowly the practice, repetition, and discipline started changing me. I have learned so much about myself through the work on my yoga mat. It’s what keeps me coming back.

I have many hours of professional training. I recently finished a two year leadership training program with Baron Baptiste called Fit to Lead. I’m a 1200 hour certified Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor, and RYT-500 through Yoga Alliance. I have over 1,000 hours of in studio teacher trainings. I am recently completed a year long Sanskrit study course. Yoga is my personal passion and professional career.

About the lesson

I like to find out what experience you come with and identify your goals. We’ll start from right where you are.

Students of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities. Beginners and folks with big bodies are encouraged! Folks looking for challenge and rigor are also encouraged. I've taught hundreds of students ranging in all different abilities.

Find someone who delights and inspires you. Find someone with qualities you admire.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your personal goals? Do you want a teacher who just focuses on the physical aspects or someone who also includes self-inquiry work into the practice? Are you looking for more spiritual or strictly physical?

Details

We can discuss private lessons in my home studio or I can travel to you. If you want recurring lessons, we can discuss a bulk rate. Lessons for 1-2 people starts at $125 in my home studio; $150 if you want me to travel to you.
