About Scott
Hi! I'm Scott, a University of Colorado mechanical engineering student offering math tutoring in Sunnyvale or online this summer.
I have 18 months of experience tutoring Calculus 1 & 2 in CU's Applied Math Help Room, and I earned A's in both courses. I've worked with a wide variety of students and I truly enjoy helping students excel in challenging math classes.
Many of the students I've worked with have significantly improved their exam performance and understanding of the material through consistent practice and support.

In a typical lesson, we'll identify the concepts giving you the most trouble and work through targeted practice problems. I'll help you master concepts by breaking them down into manageable steps. My goal is to help you understand why the math works instead of simply memorizing procedures.
What sets me apart is my engineering perspective. Much of what I study can be traced back to the math I tutor, and I love to show students the applications for what they're learning.
I primarily tutor Calculus 1 & 2 (AB/BC), but I'm happy to work with students in earlier math courses as well. Whether you want support with a class, help preparing for exams, or a stronger foundation moving into next school year, I'm happy to tailor lessons to your goals and learning style!
