About Eliza
I am a violin tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience and a DMA in Violin Performance. My approach is holistic, focusing on both technical mastery and emotional connection. I guide students to explore music as a means of storytelling, mindfulness, and personal expression.
I incorporate improvisation, journaling, and soundscape exercises to help students release tension and cultivate emotional awareness. My work includes neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adults seeking healing and stress relief through music.
Lessons are structured to encourage self-reflection and creative freedom. Students learn to shape tone, phrasing, and dynamics in ways that reflect their inner emotions. I foster a safe, supportive environment where musical exploration becomes deeply personal.
Through the violin, students discover tools for relaxation, emotional release, and self-expression. Music becomes a bridge to their inner voice and creative spirit. Each lesson is a journey of connection, growth, and well-being.

I provide warm and interactive violin lessons focused on orchestral preparation and ensemble excellence. Students learn how to blend with other instruments, follow a conductor, and contribute to a cohesive group sound. Lessons are goal-oriented and tailored for youth and community orchestra auditions.
We explore score reading, sectional practice, and simulated ensemble exercises to mirror real orchestral experiences. Emphasis is placed on dynamics, phrasing, and orchestral etiquette. Collaborative learning encourages listening, awareness, and adaptability.
Students gain confidence in leadership roles, rehearsal strategies, and professional ensemble behavior. Detailed feedback ensures measurable progress each week. Lessons also focus on interpreting conductor cues and performing expressively in a group setting.
By the end of each lesson, students are equipped to perform confidently and musically in an orchestra. Every session prepares you for auditions and the excitement of the symphony stage.
