About Courtney

I am a violin instructor with 4 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin. I enjoy helping students build strong technical skills while expressing themselves through music. My lessons combine the discipline of classical training with creativity and personal expression.

I teach important skills such as bowing, vibrato, phrasing, tone production, and musical interpretation across different styles. I also prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations with clear guidance and structured practice. Students interested in orchestral playing receive support in ensemble skills, listening, and performance confidence.

One of my students gained confidence for an orchestra audition after improving bow control and musical expression through regular lessons. Moments like these remind me that consistent practice brings lasting results. I welcome learners of all levels and adjust every lesson to match their goals and learning style.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where students enjoy learning and continue improving with confidence. I look forward to helping you grow as a violinist and enjoy every step of your musical journey.

About the lesson

My violin lessons are planned with clear goals so every student knows what they are working towards. I create structured practice routines that make learning organized, enjoyable, and consistent. Each lesson includes daily warm ups, technical etudes, expressive phrasing, and exercises that improve tone and control.

I help students prepare for recitals, auditions, and ensemble performances with focused practice and useful feedback. We also work on stage presence so students feel confident when performing in front of others. I have seen students who were nervous during their first performance become much more comfortable after following a steady preparation plan.

Lessons include creative challenges that encourage musical expression while building strong technique. I also guide students in listening carefully to blend well with other musicians and perform confidently in group settings. Every student is encouraged to develop their own musical voice while respecting the style of each piece.

I celebrate steady progress and help students stay motivated through achievable goals. My aim is to build confidence, strong technique, and a genuine love for violin that lasts beyond the classroom.
