Experienced Wildlife Biologist gives biology/ecology/natural sciences lessons with flexible hours

I have known Kala for many years, starting out as the advisor of the club she belonged to. She always took time to help her fellow fencing students, helping them catch up on concepts they may have missed, or helping to clarify those concepts to people who needed it. She always conducted her fencing bouts well and with honor, and was always kind to those around her, and patient. I knew because of these qualities she would make a great work study, so I hired her. She brought those qualities with her. She was always willing to help, and was happy to take on larger projects. She helped students and fellow workers, patiently making sure that they understood what they needed to know to be a success. She worked seamlessly with faculty and staff alike. I have rarely met a person more willing to sit down with someone and break concepts down so that they can understand them, and her patience is without limit. She is also very practical in her approach to life, so understands when things don’t go well. I am honored to count her as a friend and fellow educator.

Kala is an informed and confident teacher. More importantly, she is a down-to-earth and compassionate teacher who connects with her students. Kala teaches with clarity due to her experiences in scientific careers. Her interest in science and learning matches her love to share what she’s learned with her students.
