About Izzy

I have experience as a writing tutor at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have been writing essays (multiple types, including research articles, creative writing, copywriting, social media communications, and resume/cover letters) for close to 15 years now, and have been assisting individuals with their writing for 2 years. I understand that it is sometimes challenging to put thoughts into words and do so clearly and as strongly as you’d like them to be. I have approximately 4 years of experience in tutoring different types of classes, including economics, psychology, and sociology, and I understand everyone has different learning methods and writing styles. I take the time to listen to you and learn about your goals, and what you’d like to accomplish to best support you.

About the lesson

Writing has many components, and one may need help in different parts of the process, from brainstorming to simply checking for the flow in a finished piece of writing. I listen to your goals to see how I can assist you in becoming a more confident writer! My approach is careful but straightforward, ensuring grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and flow are considered while keeping the writer’s style intact, and the message clear.
We can focus on many types of writing, including resumes/cover letters, creative writings, analytical papers, and so on.
