About Salvador

Working with students individually is the best way to understand their individual misunderstandings and redirect their learning in a way they can advance in academics. Likewise, it is the best way to help advanced students proceed with learning content that is more appropriate for their academic level . For about a year I was working as an in-home tutor for students ages 5 to 11. I implemented the curriculum provided by the tutoring program and kept records of student progress while communicating student achievements and challenges with parents and the company. I’ve also tutored students in an afterschool program setting , where students are bringing in different assignments on different levels for different subjects on a daily basis, which requires flexibility and understanding of various contact areas. I’m more than willing to travel for work, and I’m able to provide call and peaceful learning environment for my students while delivering engaging And impactful lessons.

However, my professional experience consists of working in various educational settings since graduating high school. I have worked in afterschool programs, learning centers, private, and public schools, and now for the past nine years in the classrooms as a certified special education teacher.

Prior to moving to New York , I have worked as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center in California, and I have also worked as an independent contractor for an in-home tutoring company.

This has given me exposure to various subject areas, learning styles, teaching styles, and has helped me develop my abilities to communicate effectively and help facilitate your learning. ”
