About Ivy

In my lessons, we take a close and loving look at the amazing world of plants. My approach is caring and personal, helping students appreciate the beauty and importance of the plant kingdom. We cover key topics like plant biology, photosynthesis, how plants reproduce, and the science behind agriculture. Together, we explore how plants support life on Earth and why they are essential to ecosystems and human survival. I focus on helping students, whether they are studying to be Medical Technologists or Geneticists, build a strong understanding of plants—from tiny cells to their huge impact on the world. Through clear explanations and hands-on learning, I guide them to grasp even the most detailed processes with confidence. My goal is to nurture curiosity and excitement about plants while supporting students to do their best in exams, projects, and research. Plants are not just living things; they are the foundation of life, and learning about them opens doors to many scientific fields.

About the lesson

I’m a passionate Biology tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Developmental Biology. My main focus lies in plant biotechnology and the exciting world of genetic modification in crops. I have spent years exploring gene editing techniques that help create disease-resistant plants and enhance their nutritional value. This work is crucial for advancing sustainable agriculture and addressing global food security challenges.

In my lessons, I guide students through both the scientific principles and the broader societal impacts of these biotechnological breakthroughs.
