About Prajwal

Who I Am Hi, I’m Prajwal, a problem-solver, lifelong learner, and passionate educator with a deep love for science, mathematics, and technology. My academic journey has taken me from earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering in India to pursuing a Master’s in Machine Learning & AI in the UK, and now, I’m further expanding my expertise with a Master’s in Data Science in Australia. Along the way, I’ve worked in tech and banking, including at Europe’s largest bank, applying data-driven solutions to solve real-world challenges. But beyond my professional experience, what truly excites me is teaching and sharing knowledge—not just in data science and AI, but in mathematics, physics, and problem-solving in general. Why I Want to Teach From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by how things work—from the elegance of mathematical proofs to the laws of physics that govern our universe. Science and mathematics have always been my tools for understanding the world, and over the years, I’ve realized that these subjects aren’t just about equations or theories—they are about logic, reasoning, and problem-solving. I teach because: • I love making complex ideas simple and intuitive—whether it’s calculus, probability, or machine learning models. • I believe mathematics and science should be understood, not just memorized—because real learning happens when we ask “why?” and “how?”. • I enjoy mentoring students and seeing that “aha!” moment when a challenging concept suddenly makes sense. • I want to help students develop critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom, whether in scientific reasoning, data-driven decision-making, or everyday problem-solving. My Teaching Philosophy I don’t believe in rote memorization. Instead, I emphasize understanding the fundamental principles behind every concept. Whether it’s breaking down Newton’s laws using real-world examples, explaining Bayes’ theorem through everyday probabilities, or helping a student grasp the logic behind an algorithm, I make sure that learning is engaging, relatable, and interactive. I also tailor my teaching to each student’s unique learning style. Some students grasp ideas visually, while others prefer logical, step-by-step reasoning. By adapting my approach, I ensure that students don’t just learn—they master and apply what they’ve learned. For me, education isn’t just about passing exams—it’s about developing curiosity, analytical thinking, and the confidence to tackle any challenge, whether in math, science, or life itself. Let’s Learn & Grow Together! If you’re looking for a tutor who’s not just an instructor but also a mentor, someone who will help you think deeply, solve problems creatively, and build confidence in math, science, and technology, I’d love to be part of your learning journey. Let’s explore, question, and discover the beauty of learning together!

My Personal Approach to Private Tutoring I believe learning is not just about memorizing formulas or following a set curriculum—it’s about truly understanding concepts and developing the ability to think critically and solve problems. My approach to tutoring is built on scientific reasoning, structured learning, and real-world application, helping students not just pass exams but build a strong foundation for future success. 1. Breaking Down Complexity – Making Learning Intuitive Whenever I tackle a new concept with a student, I don’t just explain what it is—I break it down to why it works and how it connects to the bigger picture. This is inspired by the first principles thinking approach used in physics and engineering. I encourage my students to ask: • Why does this formula work? • What happens if we tweak a variable? • How can we apply this concept in real life? By stripping concepts down to their core, we remove unnecessary complexity and make learning feel intuitive and engaging. 2. Learning as an Optimization Process – Small Steps, Big Growth I often tell my students that learning is like gradient descent in machine learning—you don’t jump to the solution in one step; instead, you make small improvements with each attempt. My lessons are designed to minimize confusion, gradually building up knowledge so that students gain confidence without feeling overwhelmed. For example, if a student struggles with probability, we don’t jump straight into Bayes’ Theorem. Instead, we first work on intuition through real-world examples, then slowly introduce the formulas, ensuring that each step is understood before moving on. 3. Problem-Solving at the Core I truly believe that the ability to solve problems logically and systematically is far more valuable than memorizing theory. That’s why I focus on: • Real-world case studies to show practical applications of concepts. • Interactive problem-solving where students actively think instead of passively listening. • Breaking down complex problems into manageable parts, just like debugging code. I’ve seen firsthand how this approach boosts confidence and removes fear—once students start solving problems on their own, they realize they’re capable of much more than they thought. 4. Personalizing the Learning Experience No two students learn the same way, and I strongly believe that education should be tailored to the individual. I adjust my teaching methods based on how a student responds, just like how a machine learning model updates itself with new data. Some students learn better visually, so we sketch graphs and diagrams. Others need hands-on experience, so we write code and run simulations. My goal is to find the method that works best for each student and build a learning experience that feels natural and effective. 5. Learning Beyond the Classroom One thing I always emphasize is that learning isn’t just about passing an exam—it’s about developing an analytical mindset that stays with you for life. I encourage students to: • Ask “what if” questions—because curiosity drives real learning. • Make connections between subjects—because math, science, and coding all intertwine. • Embrace mistakes—because every error is a learning opportunity. When students start seeing learning as a recursive process—where every new concept builds on previous ones—they develop the kind of deep understanding that helps them succeed in any field they choose. Final Thoughts For me, tutoring is about helping students unlock their full potential. Whether it’s a high school student struggling with calculus or a professional learning machine learning, I aim to make complex ideas simple, build confidence, and spark curiosity. If you’re looking for a tutor who not only teaches but also inspires, I’d love to be a part of your learning journey.
