About Rhys

I am an experienced French tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, working with high school and college students. During this time, I have successfully taught 150–200 students and helped them improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance in French. I enjoy guiding students and helping them reach their learning goals.

My teaching philosophy is based on clear explanations, regular practice, and student confidence. I believe learning a language should be simple and well-organised. I focus on building strong basics in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation before moving to advanced topics. This helps students feel confident and comfortable with the language.

I create personalised lesson plans based on each student’s level and academic needs. I support students with school syllabus, college coursework, and exam preparation. I also encourage speaking and writing practice so students can use French naturally.

One of my proud achievements is helping students who found French difficult become confident learners. Many students have improved their grades and developed a positive attitude towards the language. My goal is to create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to learn and succeed.

About the lesson

My teaching approach to French focuses on building confidence through regular practice and real-life application. I use everyday examples and simple case studies to explain grammar rules, vocabulary usage, and sentence structure in a clear way. I keep my lessons flexible and adapt them according to each student’s needs and learning goals.

Collaboration is an essential part of my methodology, and I encourage students to actively participate through conversations, discussions, and role-plays.

Compassion is central to my teaching, and I create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel supported. In addition to French, I also cover pronunciation practice, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, writing skills, spoken French, cultural awareness, and exam preparation.
