I have total of 50 years of Guitar Playing experience 20 of those years teaching the guitar as an independent freelance guitar tutor. In addition to teaching the guitar I also teach Mandolin, Banjo, Ukulele Harmonica and fine art and have lost count of the number of students I have taught over these 20 years

I am a Dedicated Guitarist and Artist, available to conduct One or Group or group tuition for all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced player. With the greatest of respect to the Guitar Teaching Curriculum creators, as an independent tutor I have not been bound by what I perceive to be a limited curriculum but adapt my lesson session to the abilities and wishes of the pupil. However as already mentioned I have respect for Tuition that involves a Strict Curriculum and should any of my potential pupil require that, I can accommodate. In my experience though If I had have used a Single teaching Format, it may not have worked well for every situation that I have encountered over the years. Some examples are teaching Left Handed Players, Advanced Players, or Low Attention Span Younger Players all require different approaches which I have adapted to successfully. I study each individual’s playing technique, enthusiasm, attention span etc. I am also keen to help disabled players to master the instrument. Basically my philosophy in teaching the instrument, if we can’t use the usual method of producing an attractive sound we will find another way.
