About Meghan
I've been crafty throughout my entire life. I started sewing when I was a kid, and 5 years ago my mom (a masterful knitter), taught me how to knit. I've also taught several years at the college level, so I'm skilled and knowledgeable in how to effectively teach new skills. Finally, I'm a dynamic, friendly person and strive to ensure that my students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is for you to have fun while learning how to knit.

Hi, I'm Meghan. My mom taught me to knit years ago and I haven't put my needles down since. I'll teach you what you need to know to get started right away.
I've taught many people how to knit, and my students will tell you that I'm effective at explaining the inner workings of knitting and common problems new knitters experience.
My teaching philosophy is to do, and not just explain. You'll start knitting in our first lesson, but I will also teach you things like how to read patterns, how to fix stitches, and how to shop for the right materials to make your projects work.
If you're not sure where to start, I'll loan you materials so that you pick up the basics before choosing what you'd like to do.

Perfect! Meghan is great at explaining things in a way a can easily understand and try on my own. I’m looking forward to more lessons together!
Perfect! This was my mom’s second lesson with Meghan. My mom doesn’t learn new things very easily these days, but Meghan has been so patient and kind with her. She’s been willing to show and explain the process in different ways so my mom is better able to retain the info. She was also willing to accept a lesson request within less than 24 hours so that my mom wouldn’t forget what she has learned! She is responsive and attentive. We highly recommend Meghan!!
