About Brithney
Hi, I’m Brithney — a certified math teacher and instructional coach who’s passionate about helping students feel capable and calm when it comes to math. I’ve worked with students in grades 4 through 8 for over a decade, both in the classroom and one-on-one, and I know how overwhelming math can feel sometimes. What I bring to each session is patience, clarity, and a belief that every student can succeed with the right support. I don’t just teach math—I build trust and confidence. Whether your child needs help catching up, wants to get ahead, or simply needs math explained in a way that makes sense to them, I’m here to help. Hi! I’m a certified math teacher with years of experience helping students in grades 4 through 8. I take a warm, step-by-step approach that breaks math down into simple, manageable parts. I explain things in everyday language, check for understanding as we go, and make sure students feel safe asking questions. My sessions aren’t rushed—we go at the student’s pace while still pushing them to grow. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, so I create a space where mistakes are okay and learning feels possible, even when it’s hard. What a Lesson Looks Like Each lesson is customized based on your child’s needs. A typical session includes: A quick warm-up to review or boost confidence Direct support on a key concept or homework topic Practice problems with guidance and feedback A quick check-in at the end to see what clicked and what we’ll work on next What Makes Me Different I don’t just teach math—I build confidence. I take time to get to know your child and how they learn best. I’m patient, encouraging, and never make students feel bad for not “getting it” right away. I’ve worked with all kinds of learners, and I believe every child can improve with the right support.
