I am a dedicated educator holding a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a proven track record of academic excellence, having achieved straight A*s and As in my own IGCSEs (the equivalent of top Grades 9, 8, and 7 today). My true passion lies in sharing that knowledge and helping students succeed.
My Philosophy: Confidence First
I firmly believe that math anxiety is the biggest barrier to a student's success. Because of this, my tutoring approach centers on being deeply patient, encouraging, and supportive. I don’t just teach formulas; I focus on building my students' confidence. There is nothing more rewarding to me than watching a student transition from feeling overwhelmed to experiencing that "lightbulb moment" where they completely master a complex problem on their own.
For the past year, I have worked closely with children of various ages and academic stages, guiding them through curriculum hurdles and boosting their school performance.
Having served as a Teaching Assistant at the university level, I understand the higher-level academic discipline and precision required for top-tier exam performance.

My lessons are specifically engineered for GCSE Edexcel Maths students (typically ages 14–16, Years 10 and 11), though I also welcome Primary and Secondary school students looking to build a rock-solid foundation before their exam years.
Whether your goal is to push from a Grade 4 to a 7, or secure that top Grade 9, I tailor my pacing to meet you exactly where you are.
My Approach, Techniques & Teaching Methodology
Edexcel GCSE Maths doesn't just test memory; it tests problem-solving and spatial reasoning which happens to be my core expertise. My methodology is built on three pillars:
The "I Do, We Do, You Do" Method: I break down complex algebraic, geometric, or statistical concepts step-by-step. First, I demonstrate the technique. Next, we solve a problem together. Finally, you tackle it independently to build genuine confidence.
Mastery of the Edexcel Mark Scheme: Knowing the math is only half the battle. I teach students exactly how examiners award marks. We decode command words (e.g., "Prove," "Show that," "Estimate") so no marks are left on the table.
Visual & Spatial Learning: Drawing from my architectural background, I use highly visual methods to teach geometry, trigonometry, vectors, and graphs, transforming abstract formulas into clear, logical concepts.
Targeted Past-Paper Diagnostics: We don't just mindlessly do papers. We isolate weak areas, track mistakes in a dedicated error log, and attack those specific topics until they become strengths.
Lesson Structure & Length
Typical Lesson Length: 60 minutes is the sweet spot for maximum focus and retention. However, 90-minute sessions are available and highly recommended for intensive exam-season past paper walkthroughs.
