About Will

I'm Will McCreery, and my approach to tutoring is built on a foundation of proven academic success and real-world professional experience.

I graduated from Oxford University in 2021 with an integrated Masters' degree in Earth Sciences (MEarthSci). I placed top 3 in my year, won an academic scholarship, and received awards for top performance in advanced Mathematics and Physics. For over 5 years, I have channeled my academic triumphs into helping ambitious students win top grades.

Beyond academia, my career as a Senior technology professional has sharpened my ability to break complex, high-stakes problems down into strategic solutions. I integrate this systematic thinking into every session, teaching students how to approach difficult challenges, not just what the answer is.

About the lesson

What I offer:
Mathematics and Further Mathematics tuition (GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, IB MYP)
Physics tuition (GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, IB MYP)
University Personal Statement guidance and review (all subjects)
University Admissions Test preparation (MAT, PAT; others available upon request)
Oxbridge Interview preparation and mock interviews

My sessions are meticulously tailored to the individual. I aim to build genuine understanding, rather than rote memorisation. My approach is inspired by my time at Oxford: I apply a practice-oriented Socratic method. We will work through problems together, using deep questioning to develop the critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills necessary to master Maths, Physics, and your university applications.

Sessions typically last 60 minutes, with extended sessions available upon request. My sessions are delivered online via Google Meet, but I can be flexible around your video conferencing preferences.

Every session is followed up with a detailed report, which includes what we covered, student performance, and next steps. These reports form part of a larger learning roadmap.
