About Tolulope
I structure every lesson around the student, not the textbook. Before I teach anything, I spend time working out where the real difficulty is — because it is rarely the topic they think it is. A student struggling with trigonometry often has an unresolved issue with ratios or basic algebra. Once that is sorted, the harder topic tends to fall into place much faster.
A typical session lasts 60 minutes. I open with a few quick questions on material from previous lessons — this is a technique called retrieval practice, and it is one of the most effective ways to make knowledge stick long-term. Then we move into the main topic, working through explanations and practice together. I close each lesson with a short check to make sure the student has genuinely understood, not just followed along.
I teach across UK and US curricula, covering KS3, GCSE, and A-Level. Everything happens online through Zoom or Google Meet, with tools like Miro and Google Classroom to keep sessions interactive. I also design my own assessments aligned to specific exam boards — AQA, Edexcel, OCR — so students practise with questions that mirror what they will actually face.
The first lesson always includes a free diagnostic so we both know exactly where to start. No wasted time, no assumptions.

I became a tutor because of a question I couldn't stop thinking about: why do so many bright students convince themselves they are bad at a subject? It almost never turns out to be true. What I usually find is that somewhere along the way, one concept was not explained properly, and everything built on top of it started to wobble. My job is to find that moment and fix it.
I studied Chemistry Education at university and have spent the last six years tutoring students online — from Year 7 all the way through to A-Level. I work across Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Language, and Geography, and I write all of my own materials because I have never found a textbook that works for every student.
What parents tend to notice first is that I am honest. I will not tell you your child is doing brilliantly if they are not. But I will show you exactly where they are, where they need to be, and what we are doing each week to close that gap. I keep records of every assessment and share progress regularly, no guesswork, just evidence.
What students tend to notice is that I actually listen. I pay attention to how they think, not just what they get wrong. That makes a bigger difference than people expect.

A-level Chemistry is brutal, let's be honest. But Mr. Tolu made haloalkanes and alcohols feel manageable, even interesting. The notes were so well organised, and the practice questions were exactly the kind that come up in real exam. We also practiced past papers. I went into the final paper feeling prepared rather than terrified. I am proud of that result. It reflects months of hard, guided work and I wouldn't have gotten there alone.
I was this close to dropping Chemistry at AS. The periodic table, trends, bonding, it all felt like noise. A friend told me about Superprof and I found Tolulope. This lessons were nothing like school. Everything was explained with actual reasoning, not just 'learn this for the exam.' By my mock exams I was the one in my friend group people came to with questions. If you're at the point of giving up on a subject, please try one session first.
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure online tutoring would work for my son. He's the kind of kid who switches off the moment something feels too formal. But from his very first session with Tolulope, something was different. He came downstairs afterwards and said 'Mum, I actually get algebra now.' I nearly cried. Within two months his school grades had gone from a 3 to a 5 and his teacher noticed without us even saying anything. Genuinely one the nest decisions we made this year.
I highly recommend Tolulope Agbejimi for a tutoring position on Superprof. He has been my tutor since November, teaching me Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.
He is very patient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, which made me feel comfortable even when I didn’t understand much at the start. What stood out most was how he took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me build confidence in my abilities.
He has also encouraged me to put more effort into my work, which has really improved my learning. I strongly recommend him as a dedicated and supportive tutor.View more recommendations
