Diagnostic teaching, through mini testing. Addressing weaker areas through teaching episodes , increasing the difficulty of the problems depending on learners abilities.
I offer private lessons and grouped tutoring.
A typical one-to-one lesson will be planned with course materials depending of the student's ability.
Lessons can be taught with a mini-whiteboard to allow students to demonstrate their ideas. I can generally make an assessment of their knowledge at the beginning of the lesson where tools such as mini-whiteboards come in handy. These might be to focus on micro skills, such as converting mixed numbers into improper fractions. The skills consolidated will typically use to progress the learner on to more difficult problems, where they are required to apply their knowledge.
