About Kenny
I was mentored in music production by KJ Sawka of Pendulum and Destroid and have music featured on Nation of Dubstep, giving me direct insight into professional production standards, creative discipline, and real-world workflows. I bring that experience into every lesson in a practical, down-to-earth way that helps students actually finish music and understand why their productions work.
What truly sets my teaching apart is that I don’t approach music production in isolation. I created SampleGen, a non-AI sample generation platform, and I actively use Python to automate tedious music production workflows, freeing up more time for creativity. Rather than relying on AI music generation tools, I focus on skill, taste, sound design, and originality, which is what most artists care about right now.
I also design music visuals and performance systems, including my live project Drumthesia, where sound, visuals, and performance are tightly integrated. This allows me to teach music as a living system, not just a DAW session or a collection of presets.
I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Multimedia from The College of New Jersey, specializing in music production and creative technology, with a 4.0 GPA in my major. My academic background combines music, technology, and systems thinking, which allows me to explain complex production concepts clearly and logically.
I’ve completed advanced coursework in music production, including Berklee College of Music’s Ableton Live Techniques: Synthesis and DSP, along with extensive independent study and hands-on production work. This technical foundation helps students truly understand sound design, synthesis, signal flow, DSP fundamentals, and efficient Ableton Live workflows, rather than relying on presets or guesswork.
I primarily teach music production in Ableton Live, focusing on core fundamentals that transfer across all genres, including bass music and drum and bass. Lessons cover workflow, sound design, arrangement, track finishing, and creative decision-making so students can confidently develop their own sound.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and hands-on. I take the time to understand each student’s goals and tailor lessons so you have space to apply what you’re learning during and between sessions. I help students innovate in how they create and perform music, whether that means building custom tools, streamlining workflows, designing visuals that move with their music, or pushing Ableton Live beyond standard tutorials.
If you want to improve your music production skills, deepen your understanding of Ableton Live, or finally finish the tracks you’ve been working on, feel free to reach out with questions or set up a lesson.

My lessons are designed to help you actually make progress, not just collect tips and presets. We focus on building real skills in music production with Ableton Live, so you understand why things work and how to apply them to your own music.
- Lessons are fully tailored to your goals and can cover topics like:
- Efficient DAW (Ableton Live, FL Studio) workflow and project organization
- Sound design, synthesis, and bass creation
- Drum programming and groove
- Arrangement, energy flow, and finishing tracks
- Building reusable tools, templates, and custom workflows
- Creative systems that combine music, visuals, and performance
I take a practical approach, teaching clear techniques and workflows you can start using right away. Each lesson gives you clear next steps and techniques you can start using right away.
When we work together over multiple lessons, I go deep into the specific style of music you want to create. This allows me to give one-of-a-kind, genre-specific guidance on sound design, arrangement choices, workflow, and creative decision-making that you won’t get from generic tutorials or preset packs.
Beyond the DAW, I help you think like a modern producer. That means streamlining repetitive tasks, designing workflows that support creativity, and learning how to innovate in how you create and perform music, not just how to copy existing styles.
I focus on skill, taste, and originality, without relying on AI music generation tools. Whether you’re producing bass music, drum and bass, or another genre, the fundamentals we work on will transfer across styles while still supporting your unique sound.
If you want structured guidance, clear explanations, and lessons that move you forward, this is a great fit.

Kenny helped me level up my music production skills massively! We also worked together on a small Python script to make music visuals activate on drum midi input.
