About Kara
My lessons combine physics with the exciting world of computation, creating a modern and hands-on learning experience. I follow a nurturing and personalized approach, encouraging students to explore physics through coding and simulations. Together, we cover computer modeling, data visualization, numerical methods, and the basics of scientific programming.
We use interactive simulations and coding exercises to make complex concepts clear and engaging. From modeling particle motion to visualizing energy distributions, you’ll see physics in action through technology. I focus on building both your computational confidence and your understanding of the underlying physics.
Students learn to tackle problems step by step, using code to simulate experiments and analyze real-world data. Lessons are designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving. I guide learners who want to go beyond theory, helping them explore new ways to study and understand physical phenomena.

I am a Physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and an MSc in Medical Physics, passionate about connecting fundamental physics with materials science. My expertise lies in understanding how microscopic phenomena, such as defects and phase transitions, influence macroscopic material properties. I work closely with university students and researchers eager to explore the behavior of engineered materials.
My teaching focuses on crystal defects, grain boundaries, diffusion, and phase diagrams, including practical examples like steel. I use clear visual aids and real-world applications to make these complex concepts engaging and accessible. Lessons combine theory with illustrative simulations and case studies, helping students see how materials behave under different conditions.
I guide students through analyzing diffusion mechanisms, understanding defect structures, and interpreting phase diagrams with step-by-step explanations. We explore how microscopic imperfections affect strength, conductivity, and other material properties. My approach encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving.
