About Sofiia
I offer inspiring piano tuition for kids and adults, rooted in elite Eastern European piano pedagogy.
My training spans nine years at an audition-entry specialist music school in Ukraine — an intensive programme combining two to three individual weekly piano lessons with in-depth study in theory, history, choir, and bi-annual performance exams.
I teach the whole-body piano technique rather than isolating the fingers. Relying solely on isolated finger strength creates chronic tension and stiffness that, over time, frequently leads to playing-related injuries like tendonitis, repetitive strain injury (RSI), and severe wrist fatigue. The approach I teach is ergonomic, utilizing the arm's natural weight and wrist mobility. The result is a richer tone, effortless speed, and lifetime protection against pain or injury.
Through my studio, Cre8 Academy, I balance this high technical standard with an engaging, highly personalized approach. Lessons for young learners integrate storytelling and games so core technique never feels dry, while adult students benefit from tailored, goal-oriented instruction focused on musical expressiveness, stress-free playing, and healthy technique.
