About Hafidh Omar
I am Hafidh Umar Farooq, and I memorized the complete Qur’an with proper Tajweed. By the grace of Allah, I hold certifications and Ijāzah with a complete and authentic chain of teachers reaching back to the Prophet ﷺ.
I teach the Qur’an online to students all over the world, Alhamdulillāh, with learners from many different countries.
Being fluent in English allows me to explain even the deep and detailed rules of Tajweed in a clear, simple, and practical way.
I share this knowledge because the Qur’an deserves to be recited correctly, beautifully, and with understanding, and it is an honor for me to help others connect with the Book of Allah.

My students come from all Tajweed levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I also teach revert Muslims, so I understand the unique challenges they face. We begin with Qaida Nooraniyah and the basic rules of Tajweed, then move on to completing the entire Qur’an with proper application of those rules.
One unique aspect of my teaching is that I provide voice-note feedback to help students identify and correct their mistakes accurately.
My students come from more than 15 countries, Alhamdulillah.
