About Cristy
I have been helping and teaching young children to adult for the past 20 years. I do not have a formal classroom. My teaching is usually one on one or a small group. Better attention to details and the needs of each individual when done in a smaller setting.

I started sewing when I was 5 years old after I was given a metal red sewing machine for Christmas. I have taken classes as a teenager through high school, learned from older women in my neighborhood and from experience. In recent years I have watched 100s of videos on youtube. My experience alone over the years is enough to warrant the advice and help that I can provide. I will answer any question at any time. I sewed my own clothes, my daughters clothes and costumes, my nieces and nephews costumes and clothes, quilts, blankets, friends, strangers. I have sewn for charity. I prefer to teach the basics since that is the foundation for any subject. Once the basics are learned the possibilities are endless.
