About Eli
I am a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Voice. I specialize in helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and stage performances. Whether you’re aiming for a school play, a music theater role, or a vocal contest, I tailor lessons to meet your goals. I teach a variety of styles, including Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theater. My lessons focus on key skills like diction, range development, and vocal agility to ensure you sing with clarity and power. I also help with repertoire selection that suits your voice and challenges you to grow. Dramatic interpretation is a big part of my teaching. I believe that bringing emotion and story to a song makes all the difference on stage. I have worked with school students, drama majors, and adults returning to singing after a break. My approach is supportive and encouraging, guiding you to build solid technique and strong stage presence. My singing methodology focuses on helping advanced teens and quartet players develop strong musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression. For advanced teens, I emphasize vocal flexibility through exercises that challenge their range and dynamics. This builds confidence and helps them adapt to different songs and styles easily.
Quartet players work on blending their voices, matching pitch precisely, and maintaining emotional connection within the group. We practice harmonies and timing to create a polished, unified sound. Both personas learn to adjust their singing for genres from pop to jazz to classical.
I encourage the use of digital tools like DAWs and vocal apps to record practice sessions. This helps track progress and identify areas to improve. Metronomes are essential for developing tight rhythm and timing, especially when singing in groups.
My approach is practical and fun. I focus on setting achievable goals that keep students motivated. By combining technique, technology, and emotional delivery, students grow into confident, expressive singers ready for any performance challenge.
