With 10+ years of classroom teaching experience and first-hand living experience in Costa Rica and Mexico, I bring Spanish to life beyond the textbook!

About the lesson

I am a passionate and experienced Spanish teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience, specialising in the IB, IGCSE and PYP curricula. I work with students of different ages and abilities, from complete beginners to learners progressing towards B1 level.

My teaching approach is student-centred, interactive and personalised. I adapt every lesson to the student’s age, level, learning style and specific goals. For IB and IGCSE students, I focus on developing the key skills required by the curriculum, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar and exam preparation. For PYP learners, I use engaging, age-appropriate activities, games, stories, visual resources and conversation to make Spanish enjoyable and meaningful.

For beginners, I build a strong foundation in pronunciation, vocabulary, basic grammar and everyday communication. As students progress, I gradually introduce more complex structures and encourage them to use Spanish confidently in real-life situations. My goal is not only to help students achieve good academic results but also to develop their confidence and genuine interest in the Spanish language.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level and requirements. I keep lessons engaging and varied, combining explanations with practical activities and plenty of opportunities for students to actively use Spanish.

My lessons are suitable for children, primary and secondary school students, IB and IGCSE learners, complete beginners, and students working towards B1 level. Whether a student needs support with schoolwork, curriculum preparation, exam practice, or simply wants to learn Spanish from scratch, I tailor each lesson to their individual needs and goals.
