About Samuel
I am an experienced STEM educator with 15+ years teaching Math, Chemistry, and Physics at a private college preparatory school and an Early Middle College in Greensboro, NC. My school has achieved the EVASS greatest student growth for consecutive years, and I have helped over 90% of my students pass EOC, State, and District exams.
Previously, I worked as a University Lecturer for 6.5 years, teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, and Analytical Chemistry to Chemistry, Biology, and Pharmacy majors. I also have research experience in Environmental Chemistry.

M.S. in Analytical Chemistry (2009) – Addis Ababa University
B.Ed. in Chemistry & Mathematics (2005) – Addis Ababa University

I am a Math and Science Instructor at Early Middle College at GTCC with 15 years of classroom teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Chemistry. In addition to teaching full-time, I have extensive tutoring experience through Wyzant and private tutoring, working with middle school, high school, and college students in chemistry and mathematics. My lessons focus on breaking down complex concepts step by step, building strong problem-solving skills, and helping students gain the confidence they need to succeed on quizzes, tests, and exams.
