About Jing

Hi there! I'm Jing
I was born and raised in China and hold a Master's degree in English Interpretation, so I deeply understand how Chinese and English minds work differently—and I know exactly how to help you bridge that gap.

But here's what really sets me apart: I've been teaching kids for years, and some of my students have been learning with me for 5–6 years! That means two things: (1) children genuinely enjoy my lessons, and (2) I know how to keep them motivated and progressing long-term.

Over the past 6 years, I've taught hundreds of students of all ages and backgrounds. With children especially, I create a relaxed, playful, and encouraging environment where they feel safe to try, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace.

What you can expect:
Customized lessons tailored to your child's interests, needs, and learning style
A fun, engaging atmosphere—because happy kids learn faster!
After-class handouts and activities to reinforce what they've learned
A teacher who sticks around—many of my young learners have been with me for years, and I'd love to be part of your child's Chinese journey too

Book a trial lesson and let's see if we're a good match. I can't wait to meet you!

About the lesson

WHAT I TEACH:

Children's mandarin

Recognize physical words, such as animals, colors, fruits and so on.
Learn simple dialogue and let students speak Chinese as early as possible as they sing Children's songs and play games, while giving students a relaxed and happy atmosphere.

Mandarin for Teenagers:

Learning Pinyin and Chinese characters according to their needs and interests.
Using known textbooks such as "Easy Steps to Learn Chinese", YCT, and others.
Further improve the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, focusing on the strengths of each student.

Adult Mandarin:

Learning how to communicate in a business and formal setting, having daily conversations, and interpreting information at a corporate level.

All courses can be customized according to the student demands and pace.

Jing's response
Adrian was very conscientious in class and very willing to speak up, which is wonderful. Currently, he is close to the HSK1 level and his reading is very good, but he needs to expand his daily vocabulary and improve his listening and speaking skills. :)

Jing is very patient, friendly, and easy to talk to! She has helped me with listening, reading, and conversation practice. In addition to teaching conversational vocabulary and grammar, she makes special presentations about cultural holidays which I enjoy. The lessons provide many opportunities to practice conversational speaking which is very helpful.

Jing is a patient, encouraging and intelligent tutor who always brings a contagious level of enthusiasm to her lessons. I always look forward to our sessions and - as someone who has limited time to study - they have really helped to motivate me. I would recommend her as a tutor to anybody.
