About Baglan

UCL Master's Graduate & Cardiff University PhD Researcher

Hello! I am a passionate researcher and educator specialising in Politics, International Relations, Law, and Languages. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Politics and International Studies at Cardiff University, researching contemporary global issues.

Prior to my PhD, I earned my Master’s degree in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism from University College London (UCL), and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement from Kazakhstan. This unique combination of academic theory and practical legal knowledge allows me to bring real-world depth to my teaching.

As a trilingual speaker—native in Kazakh, native-level/highly proficient in Russian and English—I understand firsthand the journey of mastering languages for both casual communication and elite academic writing.

Having navigated undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels of education, I know exactly what professors look for and how to help you bridge the gap between a good grade and an exceptional one.
