About Oscar
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 16 years of experience teaching students of all ages, from school children to college students and working professionals. My teaching philosophy centres on patience, encouragement, and understanding each student’s unique learning style. I aim to make lessons enjoyable, productive, and meaningful while helping students develop technical skills, musical knowledge, and expressive creativity. Over the years, my students have participated in recitals, competitions, and public performances, achieving recognition and building confidence. My teaching approach combines compassion, patience, and clear communication. I believe piano learning should be simple, enjoyable, and supportive. I teach piano fundamentals such as hand position, finger movement, rhythm, and note reading in an easy-to-understand manner. I explain concepts clearly and allow students to learn at their own pace. Communication is encouraged in every lesson. I listen to students’ needs and provide clear feedback and encouragement. I support students through challenges and celebrate their progress. Along with piano, I teach music theory, scales, chords, ear training, and sight reading. These subjects strengthen musical skills. I also help students develop effective practice habits. My supportive teaching style helps students stay motivated and confident in their musical journey.
