About Briar
I am a passionate flute tutor with 9 years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I believe that music is a powerful way to develop confidence, creativity, and emotional expression. My journey with the flute began with curiosity and slowly grew into a deep passion that I now share with my students.
Over the years, I have worked with many learners, helping them progress from beginners to confident performers. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students overcome their fear and perform on stage with confidence and joy.
My teaching style is simple, patient, and structured, focusing on strong fundamentals such as breathing control, finger coordination, tone clarity, and rhythm accuracy. I also make sure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable so students remain motivated and consistent in their practice.
I believe every student has unique potential, and my goal is to guide them with care and dedication while helping them build a lifelong connection with music.

My teaching approach uses Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn flute in a simple way. I motivate students by giving small goals and regular feedback.
Communication helps me explain lessons clearly and guide students step by step. I focus on techniques like breath control and finger movement.
Integrity helps me teach honestly and support students in their learning journey. Creativity makes my lessons interesting with activities and songs.
I also teach related subjects like music theory and rhythm.
