About Tiru
I am a passionate Flute tutor with 8 years of teaching and professional experience. My goal is to help school and college students enjoy learning music while building confidence and discipline. I believe that every student can become a good musician with patience, proper guidance, and regular practice.
My lessons begin with breathing exercises, correct posture, finger positioning, rhythm, scales, and tone production. As students become more comfortable, I introduce articulation, musical expression, and performance techniques. I enjoy creating a friendly learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and improve without fear of making mistakes.
Seeing students perform confidently and achieve their personal goals has been one of the greatest rewards of my teaching journey. Besides flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, beginner improvisation, and performance preparation.
My mission is to help every learner enjoy music while developing skills that will benefit them throughout life.

Learning the flute is a journey of patience, creativity, and continuous improvement. My teaching methodology combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students develop both technical and artistic skills.
Lessons are customised to suit each student's goals. Students first learn posture, breathing control, rhythm, note reading, finger movement, and tone quality before progressing to scales, articulation, improvisation, expression, and stage confidence.
Motivation helps students enjoy regular practice and stay committed to learning. Communication creates a comfortable atmosphere where questions are always welcome. Integrity guides my teaching through fairness, honesty, and respect.
Creative learning includes musical games, duet performances, listening sessions, favourite songs, rhythm activities, ear training, and performance preparation. I also teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, and music appreciation.
