About Felipe

'm Felipe Alvarez, a music producer and guitarist, graduated from the Berklee College of Music. With a background in various music styles, from classical and flamenco to rock and jazz, my experience has been enriched by performing with Latin Grammy-winners and working on diverse projects that encompass both creativity and technical mastery.

Passionate about sharing my knowledge, I offer guitar lessons tailored to individual needs and interests. My teaching philosophy centers around making learning both fun and meaningful by focusing on what excites you as a student. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player, my goal is to guide you in refining your technique and understanding the theory, using the music you love as a pathway to growth.

Professionalism is at the core of my approach, and I'm committed to providing an educational experience that is both enjoyable and transformative. My students can expect well-structured lessons, constructive feedback, and consistent support as they embark on their musical journey with me.

Let's work together to unleash your potential on the guitar. Your passions, goals, and dreams are the driving force behind our lessons, and I'm eager to help you turn them into reality.

About the lesson

I believe in a tailored approach to teaching guitar that emphasizes what the student is passionate about. My method combines theory with practical application, using the genres or songs that excite the student as a vehicle to learn technique and theory. Whether it's classical, flamenco, rock, or jazz, I ensure that lessons are not only educational but also fun and engaging. A typical lesson might begin with warm-up exercises, followed by a review of previous lessons. Then, we'll explore new techniques, applying them to a song the student loves. We'll conclude with constructive feedback and goal-setting for the next session. My diverse experiences, including performing with Latin Grammy-winners, bring a rich dimension to my teaching and set me apart as a tutor. Catering to aspiring guitarists of all levels, I adapt my lessons to specific interests, genres, or career goals, providing a personalized experience. I'm eager to guide you on your musical journey, using your passions to help you unleash your potential on the guitar.

Perfect! Felipe is an amazing teacher!! He tailors the lessons to your goals and creates challenging but accessible activities to improve whatever skill you’re working on.
While he does create challenging lessons, he’s really patient, making you feel comfortable. He also makes adjustments when needed so that you can build from your current skills. Lastly, Felipe is super friendly and collaborative.
I would definitely recommend!!
