About Mina

I’m a thirty-something who’s young at heart and genuinely in love with languages. I’ve spent years studying French, Romanian, Portuguese — and of course Spanish — simply for the joy of it. Language learning has always been my favourite way to understand people, culture and the world around me. I lived in Spain for several years, which gave me a deep appreciation for the rhythm, humour and everyday beauty of the language. That experience shaped the way I teach: practical, intuitive, and grounded in real-life Spanish rather than just textbook rules. I’m also a creative professional with a passion for history, storytelling and cultural exploration. I have a soft spot for Latin lexology — the roots, patterns and connections between languages — and I love sharing those little insights that make Spanish suddenly “click” for my students. At my core, I’m curious, patient and enthusiastic. I love helping others discover how fun and accessible learning a new language can be, and I bring that energy into every lesson

About the lesson

My Spanish lessons are designed to be enjoyable, effective, and fully tailored to each child’s learning style. I understand that every student absorbs information differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit their pace, personality and confidence level. Whether they learn best through visuals, conversation, games, repetition or structured exercises, I make sure the lesson style fits them. I focus on building a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation while keeping the learning environment relaxed and fun. Children engage more when they enjoy what they’re doing — so I use creative activities, real-life examples and interactive tasks to help Spanish feel both approachable and exciting. As a native English speaker, I’m able to bridge the gap between the two languages in a clear and intuitive way. I understand exactly where English speakers struggle, the common mistakes they make, and how to explain Spanish concepts in a way that makes sense instantly. This makes my lessons especially accessible for beginners or students who may have found Spanish confusing in the past. My goal is to help each child grow in confidence, develop genuine curiosity for the language, and feel proud of their progress. I create a supportive space where questions are encouraged, mistakes are part of learning, and every student feels capable.
