About Victoria

I am currently in my fourth year of Physics and Astronomy. I've given presentations on various subjects such as the history of astrophysics, the importance of imagination in fields of science, binary star systems, and the formation of the milky way to name a few. I have held an internship at the Canadian Space Agency working with cutting edge technology to advance astronaut health monitoring systems. I also spent time studying accounting at Brock University.

I've tutored people from 5 - 35 years old in math, English, science, accounting, Microsoft Excel, and physics. If you have any questions please reach out.

About the lesson

My methodology lies in working through example problems while encouraging detail focused thought at each step. I focus on breaking down complicated concepts into steps and then focus on ensuring the student understands each of those steps by working with them in ways that suit their individual learning style. Some of the learning styles being oriented visually, through example, or through deeper understanding. I like to find real world applications that show how these subjects matter in the world as I believe it is easier to learn if you can spark interest in the subject.

After the consultation session, I set goals and timelines for the individual pupil based on their needs and level. There are goals for each individual session as well as longer term weekly goals.
