About Kareem
Hey there! I'm Kareem.
I'm an award-winning artist with plenty of juried gallery shows under my belt. I started out with a drawing practice in character design and illustration. 10 years later, my practice had evolved into fiber art sculpture by combining 3-dimensional art with an interest in embroidery and hand stitching techniques.

I teach a variety of techniques including embroidery, figure drawing, sculpture, and sketchbook practices for any medium to adult creatives, undergraduates, and emerging artists.
I tailor the tutoring session to your needs, goals, and resources available. If asked, I can provide critique of your art by looking at your piece or work in progress and defining what works and what doesn't based on your intention with the work.
I urge students to have a place to document their practice, such as a sketchbook. This is where we will work together. It doesn't have to be fancy; any notebook will do. I've been recording my practice for 10 years now and, no matter what medium, I can assist you in working with a sketchbook during your ideation process.
At the end, I provide action steps and homework so that learning happens long after the lesson has ended.
