About Bennett
After studying English Literature and Creative Writing at Southern Methodist University, I found a deep interest in access to literacy. The idea that literature is a scary, fancy thing is a myth. Writing of all kinds can be informative and fun. Writing can be a way to communicate, understand our own thoughts, or escape into a new world. I am excited to dissolve the myth that English is scary, and introduce you to your very own world of reading and writing.

I take a holistic approach to teaching. We will create a lesson plan together to keep you feeling confident and motivated to keep learning. The great thing about this course, is that you can learn English in whatever subject interests you. Are you interested in philosophy? How about science? Do you find yourself picking up romance novels in the airport? We will read texts that are fun and informative, while also broadening your understanding of the English language.
