About Erin

I am a secondary school student from Ireland who is passionate about Irish music. I want to spread my knowledge with those who wish to learn. I am a Youth Officer in my local Comhaltas Branch so I have plenty of experience working with young people in this area. I have been playing the fiddle for over 10 years as well as an active participant in the Fleadh Ceoil. I am a member of an U18 ceili band and an U18 grupa ceoil. This year, I was a member of the All Ireland Winning Plearacha team. Teaching others is the next step in my journey!

About the lesson

Hi! I am running Fiddle classes for young people ages 12 and under (or if you are older but a beginner feel free to contact me either!). I will teach them how to play traditional Irish music on the fiddle. I can teach them with letter notes, by ear, or both. Whatever their preference is! I have been playing the fiddle for over 10 years and I am an active member of Comhaltas. I take part in ceili bands, grupa ceoils and solo competitions in the Fleadh. Typical lessons would be 30 mins long but this would depend on the number of people in a group (the maximum would be 3 people per group).

It was great to see Erin win her plearacha na nóg All Ireland this year after all her hard hours. I intend on doing classes that last for 30 minutes, so really it would be €12 per class.
