About Abubakar
I am in the final semester of my Master's degree in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Stavanger. Teaching has been a consistent part of my life, not something I picked up recently. Before coming to Norway, I taught mathematics and physics at school level in Pakistan. Working with school students taught me something important very early: most students are not "bad at math" or "bad at physics". They are confused at one step, and no one slowed down enough to fix it. That is where I focus. At the University of Stavanger, I have worked four times as a student assistant for MAT100, MAT200, STA100, and PHY100. This experience trained me to explain concepts clearly, answer questions patiently, and help students move from “I don't get it” to “oh, that makes sense”. I enjoy teaching because I like seeing understanding click. My lessons are structured but flexible. I break problems down step by step, strengthen basics, and then build confidence through practice. I adapt to the student's pace, whether they need careful guidance or focused exam preparation. I currently teach in English and am learning Norwegian (A2 level).
