About Sophia
My name is Sophia, I have taught students who struggled in mathematics and have learned how to tailor my classes based on the student's method of learning.
I am currently pursuing accounting and business in the university of Exeter.
I have achieved top grades in IGCSE and A levels in mathematics.
Teaching online allows for accessibility and ease of teaching as compared with face to face teaching.

-Experienced mathematics tutor in private tuition from primary to higher through all the intermediate classes.
-How to ensure my students have understood the concept taught?
1) start by asking the student if he has questions, both about what was done last time and about the concepts discussed at school.
2) I evaluate the understanding of the previous concepts taught (small quiz of 5 minutes).
3) I identify the possible misunderstandings then proceed to explain the concept in a way the student can grasp it easily
4) The session involves explanation of the concept and then application of the concept
5) At the end of the session, I make an assessment of concept taught with the student, we look at what was understood, or not and according to that, what the student must do for the next session
6) The student is strongly encouraged to practice the new concept taught with homework which will be provided
