About Matthew

I'm Matt, a current final year undergraduate at University of Bath. I am studying Biochemistry. I have a particular interest in pathogensis, cancer biology and enzymology. I will be studying a PhD at University of Exeter/University of Bath in Physics starting in September, using a new optical technique to analyse enzyme mechanisms at an atomic level.

I studied A-level Biology (A*), Chemistry (A*) and Maths (A*), as well as an As in Physics (A). During my A-levels, I spent many hours assisting to teach peers and to clarify information with my teachers. As a result, I achieved several academic prizes upon "graduating" from school.

I have also been lucky to be appointed as the Chairman of Association Football and Futsal at University of Bath. I have gained a large number of transferable skills, including effective communication and organisational skills, which will aid me as a tutor.

I applied to the University of Oxford, gaining an interview at Harvard College (unfortunately, not getting a place!).
