About Fawwaz

My name is Fawwaz, and I am a final-year Mathematics student at the University of Sussex.

Having just completed my own intensive degree—with a deep focus on probability, advanced statistics, and computer-based modelling—I am fresh out of the exact academic system you are navigating right now. I know what it feels like to sit in front of a complex, confusing topic and feel completely stuck. But I also know the exact moment the logic finally clicks, and that is exactly why I love to teach.

Most of the time, students just haven’t had a concept explained to them in a way that matches how their brain actually processes logic. Mathematics isn't about memorising endless strings of formulae or copying down steps from a textbook; it’s about breaking down big, intimidating problems into small, manageable pieces.

Whether you are looking to master tricky A-Level statistics modules, build a solid foundation for your GCSEs, or simply learn the specific exam strategies needed to unlock maximum method marks on past papers, my goal is to guide you there. I build an open, relaxed, and highly supportive environment where no question is a silly one, and where we turn maths from a source of stress into a tool you can confidently use to crush your goals. About the lesson

I believe mathematics is best learnt through active problem-solving and logical breakdown, not just memorisation. My lessons are highly structured, interactive, and tailored entirely to the student’s current pace and exam goals.

How a standard session works:

The Core Concept (15 mins): We break down a specific topic or theorem from the syllabus using simple analogies and step-by-step visual logic. No jargon, just clear explanations of 'why' the maths works.

Guided Practice (25 mins): We work through targeted problems together. I focus heavily on identifying core patterns and revealing the common traps that examiners use to trip students up.

Exam Application (20 mins): We immediately apply what we’ve learnt to real GCSE or A-Level past-paper questions. I teach practical exam techniques—such as how to structure workings clearly to secure maximum method marks, even if a calculation error occurs.

I provide clear, actionable feedback at the end of every session, alongside concise review notes or practice problems if requested. My ultimate goal is to remove the frustration from mathematics, build genuine confidence, then find enjoyment through solving maths problems.
