About Muwi

I am a final year medical student, who loves reading, travelling, and being out in nature.

Growing up the schools I went to heavily focused on results. You either did well in exams or didn't. For those who did they got good at taking exams, for those who didn't they got ignored. This form of teaching didn't benefit either party. There was no enjoyment in learning.

As I got into medical school, I found being good at taking exams wasn't enough to get through. I had to relearn how I learn. AndI saw improvement both in my enjoyment of the subjects, and in my exam scores. Now I've taught this holistic approach to students from 13 to 18 years and have seen similar results for them too.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is individual and provides a holistic learning experience. Past experience as a tutor has taught me children learn best if you focus on their personal goals, strength and weaknesses, and adapt teaching styles to for that.

I equally find it important to build soft skills, such as focus and discipline, to benefit students long term after exams are over. And finally building a love for knowledge and understanding, deeper than exam taking ability, is an important part of my students' experience.

A combination of these approaches to learning got me through 12 GCSEs and 3 A levels with grades A*-A. It has also been effective in many students I have taught in the past.

Lessons are in hour slots. With extra 30 minute to an hour as needed.
