About Fiona
Hi, my name is Fiona! I am a final-year medical student. I achieved a grade 8/9 (A*/A**) in all my GCSEs and 3 A* grades in A-level Spanish, Biology and Chemistry. I enjoy tutoring languages because it is a challenging yet very rewarding experience. I like to instil the idea in all my students that learning languages is not just about passing an exam but appreciating the diverse culture that encompasses it. Throughout medical school, I have acquired several skills such as effective problem-solving and communication which I apply to all my lessons. I create a warm and engaging environment to ensure my students can focus, feel comfortable to ask questions and enjoy overcoming their language barriers. I also have experience as an academic tutor at university, helping students improve both their subject knowledge and study techniques. Whether you're aiming for a top grade or just need help building confidence, I'm here to support you!

I studied Spanish from KS3 to A-level. I regularly refresh my knowledge to ensure that I maintain my proficiency. I tutor KS2, KS3 and GCSE Spanish students. My lessons are interactive and tailored to your goals, using a mix of conversation practice, vocabulary games, listening, reading and writing exercises, and exam-style questions to make learning fun and effective. Each lesson is approximately 60 minutes and is designed to boost both fluency and confidence. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and flexible—I’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be!
