About Olumide
Hello, I'm Olu — a final-year postgraduate at the University of Cambridge, studying for an MEng in Aerospace Engineering within the Department of Engineering.
Academically, I’ve consistently aimed high, achieving outstanding results at both GCSE and A Level:
GCSEs: 12 qualifications, all graded 9 and 8
A Levels: Physics (A*), Further Maths (A*), Maths (A*), and Chemistry (A)
I have over three years of tutoring experience, specialising in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at GCSE and A Level. My teaching journey began by helping younger family members, and has since expanded to supporting a wide range of students — many of whom have progressed from grade 6s and Bs to securing 9s and A*s. Several of my students have gone on to study at top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and other Russell Group institutions.
In addition to subject tutoring, I also support Oxbridge applicants with mock interviews and tailored admissions tutoring, drawing from my own experience and insights gained at Cambridge.
Throughout my academic journey, I've had the privilege of learning directly from experts in diverse engineering disciplines. As a tutor, my primary goal is to strengthen each student's understanding of the subject’s core principles. Having completed GCSE and A Level exams in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics not long ago, I fully appreciate the importance of mastering foundational concepts before tackling more complex material.
Lessons typically last one or two hours and take place once or twice a week. Each session is tailored to the individual student's needs, with a focus on offering clear, intuitive explanations of challenging topics and addressing specific areas of difficulty within the curriculum.
Over the past three years, I’ve worked with students at various academic levels — from GCSE and A Level to international applicants preparing for Oxbridge and Russell Group university interviews. This breadth of experience has equipped me with the flexibility to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and goals.
My core aspiration as a tutor is to help students unlock their full potential in the time we have together. I take great pride in their progress and am fully committed to doing whatever it takes to support their success — both academically and beyond.
