About Adnan

Background and Experience:

After successfully passing the 11+ exam in 2009, I went on to study at King Edwards VI Aston Grammar School in Birmingham.

In the year 2017, I completed my A levels where I secured A*AB grades in Economics, Philosophy, and Mathematics respectively.

I then went on to pursue an Economics degree at a top Russell Group University, Queen Mary University of London, and then a Finance degree at Cass Business School.

During my time at University, I have achieved first-class marks in a majority of my modules and have secured various internships at top firms such as AON, Grant Thornton, and Deloitte.

I have extensive experience working as an 11+ tutor over the past three years covering mainly the KS2, KS3, and 11+ specifications.

The success of my tutoring can be demonstrated through the exceptional achievement of my siblings in the 11+ exams. Out of my eight siblings, seven of them have all secured places in top grammar schools including King Edward Aston and King Edward Camp Hill, with the other sibling looking to complete the exam next year.

All the students I have taught have seen rapid improvements in their study performance. My goal as a tutor is to realize the true potential of a student and ensure that they are equipped with the right skills that will aid in their success for the 11+ exam.

Subjects include:
KS1, KS2 and KS3: Maths and English
11+: Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning

About the lesson

I design my lessons around the individual needs of each student; I can prepare topics in advance to teach, as well as assist with assignments, exam revision and the development of efficient study techniques. I can also provide access to useful educational resources to complement the material covered in each lesson.

In addition to this, I believe it is important to complete past exam questions to understand the marking criteria, however, there is more to learning than this and I aim for my students not only to improve their grades but to also be confident in their academic abilities. There is no one size fits all approach to learning and it is important that as a tutor I adapt to fit the needs of each of my students whether that is more auditory learning, the use of visual aids or other types of learning.

I am looking to tutor students from ages 5-13 or Key Stages 1-3.

I have received an A in AS Mathematics with an average mark of 85% and have achieved an average of 88% in my mathematics modules at University.

The typical length of a lesson is 1 hour, although this can be adjusted as required.
