About Bret
I am a graduate from Saint Mary's University where I completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, majoring in finance, as well completing the venture capital program. I have worked in marketing, communications and corporate citizenship for RBC, a start-up tourism company and a major Canadian charity. I am also a National Team canoe athlete who has balanced work, education and being an international athlete for a decade and have over a decade of experience coaching hockey, lacrosse and canoeing at all levels and a variety of age ranges and with those with intellectual disabilities.

I have 3 years of tutoring experience at the university level and over a decade of experience coaching a variety of sports from ages 10-19. What sets me apart from other tutors is my ability to connect with each individual student as I have worked with a wide range of abilities from the elementary to university level. For university level courses, I am able to prepare lessons for introduction to Statistics, micro and macroeconomics, 1st to 4th year finance and financial management and certain marketing courses. I prefer to use a collaborative approach which allows students to develop the necessary skills to answer questions on the spot like in test or exam environments. I am also able to make accommodations for those with disabilities.
