About Pratistha
I am a PhD candidate in International Business–Finance with a strong academic and professional background in finance, economics, and international business. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked as an Assistant Director at the Central Bank of Nepal, where I gained hands-on experience in global financial markets, foreign exchange reserve management, economic analysis, and financial policy.
My professional experience also includes research and private-sector roles with multinational organizations. As a doctoral researcher, I regularly work with financial data, econometrics, and quantitative research, while studying how multinational firms make capital allocation decisions.
I enjoy making complex financial and economic concepts understandable and relevant. I bring both academic depth and real-world experience to my lessons, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working through difficult concepts, and building confidence in the subject.

I believe finance and economics become much easier when concepts are connected to real-world examples rather than simply memorized. There is always a story behind every concept.
I tailor each lesson to the student's goals. My lessons focus on building a clear understanding of the underlying concepts first, followed by practical examples, problem-solving, and application.
As a Finance PhD candidate and former central bank professional, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world financial experience into my teaching. I particularly enjoy breaking down complicated ideas into simple, intuitive explanations and helping students understand why something works, not just how to calculate it.
My lessons are suitable for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as anyone interested in developing a stronger understanding of finance, economics, international business, or related quantitative concepts.
