About Poonam

Hi, I'm Poonam! I'm a finance professional based in Rajasthan, India, with a CIMA Affiliate qualification. I hold an All India Rank 3 in two Executive-level finance examinations, and I currently work independently managing NetSuite ERP implementations for hospitality clients.

I've always found genuine satisfaction in helping others understand things clearly, which is what led me to teaching alongside my professional work. I started 4 years ago tutoring school students in Accounting, Economics, and Business Management, and over the past 6 months, I've been teaching CIMA to working professionals and college students.

For me, sharing knowledge isn't just about getting through a syllabus — it's about helping someone go from confusion to real clarity. I bring the same practical, real-world approach I use in my own finance career into every lesson, so that what you learn actually makes sense beyond the exam. That's what motivates me to teach, and why I'm excited to work with new students here.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is practical and student-centered. Rather than just explaining theory, I connect every concept — whether it's IFRS, risk management, or business strategy — to real-world examples, drawing on my own hands-on finance and ERP experience.

A typical class starts with a quick check of what you already know, followed by focused explanation of the concept, worked examples, and practice questions. I encourage questions throughout, and I always end with a short recap of what to focus on before the next session.

What sets me apart is the range of levels I teach — from school students building their fundamentals in Accounting and Economics, to working professionals and college students preparing for CIMA case study exams. I adapt my method depending on whether we're building basics from scratch or refining exam strategy under time pressure.

My classes are suited for school students, college students, and working professionals looking to strengthen their finance and business fundamentals or prepare for CIMA exams.
